We teamed up with BEAMS+ to create a limited edition capsule of QMS headwear, continuing our ongoing collaboration around functional, sea-ready hats with a little personality.
The Convertible Sailing Hat takes the easy coverage of a bucket and adds a clever brim construction that lets it change shape depending on the day. The brim is fused so it can flip up and out of the way when you want more visibility, while still holding enough structure up front to act like a ballcap brim when you need shade.
It is part sailing hat, part bucket, part “why don’t more hats work this way?” Like most good utilitarian design, the trick is simple once you see it: coverage when you want it, clearance when you don’t, and a shape that feels right at sea or ashore.

Don't know your hat size? Here's how to find out. Wrap a cloth measuring tape or string around your head at the point at which your hat normally sits (~ 1/2" above your ear and across mid-forehead). Pull the tape or string tightly enough to get an accurate measurement, but not uncomfortably so. Take the measurement and match it to the next largest interior circumference listed above.
A word of caution: Most men actually wear a size large hat instead of a medium. Just because you are a medium in pants, shirts, etc. doesn't mean vour hat size is a medium too!
