Last week, we took a trip up to Livingston Manor – the self-proclaimed "birthplace of fly-fishing in the United States" – to visit our good friend Darrell Hartman.
Darrell is a writer and avid angler who spends most of his time in this charming and storied slice of upstate New York. He also happens to be a trustee of the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum – a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of fly fishing in the Catskills and educating the next generation of anglers and conservationists.
We got to chatting a few months back about angling headwear and decided to make a run of our iconic longbill in a navy canvas and acorn waxed canvas with their newly designed logo embroidered on the front. To put these new caps to the test, Darrell took us around the grounds to meet his crew of merry anglers before putting on the waders and getting into the stream for some fishing.
Our new friend, and fellow passionate angler Christian Anwander rolled up in his vintage Fiat Spider to photograph the excursion.
